I tried already to reinstall the newest version same as Windows HEVC codec but this didnt help.ĭeoVR v9.03 play 8K vids with 25-35 fps that v8.55 plays over 90fps on the same PC. Unfortunately the problem with the latest v.9xx of DeoVR is not into k-light codecs. Otherwise you risk to do a very big mess. Pro tip to everyone: Do not use any codecs packs if you don't know very well what you are doing and you are sure that you really need it. I haven't installed any codec since the middle of the DivX era (VLC Player is the way) and yet the previous versions of DeoVR worked perfectly.
Gizmo crashes on me, it's unusable and never updated or fixed. If you see a vid that garbles into mosaic compression, then choose direct show and it should play normal speed. I have such vids that the saved preference no longer worked and needed switched back to off and it corrected the missing fps problem. If you are like me, you will not be disappointed. The devs at DEO VR plan to release an update to the Player shortly to support IPD adjustment from within the player. In that regard it is a disgrace to the so-called flagship company, and that's after you figure out where to put the damned video besides. Don't even waste your time on the Oculus Player. Perhaps the clearest thing I have seen yet and in perfect proportions. On a short "so-called" 180 degree fully immersive porno clip I downloaded, which originated by WankzVR, is was really clear. It also has a "seach module" for your own video clip file to load. When you go to full screen it makes all the necessary conversions.
It has a built in YouTube player/browser that does it all. If your "Settings" is set in Oculus to allow unauthorized content under "General", it fires up instead of "Home". It's an executable so there is no install and it boots as a black box only.
